Influence and Inspiration (2)
Jarek, a Polish friend whom I met for the first time at the CNR cafe, occasionally joins in when things need fixing on my motorcyles. He has ridden his Motorcycle all the way to the Nord Kap in Norway, and is a great believer in spending money on long trips, rather than on expensive motorcycles and then never riding anywhere, because the money ran out!
The Stagecoach Caerphilly Bikers Club
Steve and Chris are two of the members of the "Stagecoach in Caerphilly Bikers Club", a bit of a Pan European thing, but other makes and models are welcome too. While I was working in Wales, these two would introduce me to the Abergavenny bike meet on Sundays, and tour the South and Mid-Wales countryside with me. Apart from their valuable touring tipps, they also took me to the many motorcycle shows happening all year round in Wales. They continue to be excellent touring companions on my visits to Wales, after having moved back to England.

Paul is an accountancy expert who gives me lots of banking advice, making 2007 a more promising year for motorcycling after some problematic second hand motorcycle ownerships, which I started trying to save money rather than buying a new model.

Paul, who rides the later version of the BMW R1200 GS, introduced me to the XT 660R, which the local Oxford Yamaha dealer was selling off at a massively reduced price of just 3600 pounds for a brand new motorcycle, giving me the advantage of owning a new motorcycle , complete with a 2 year warranty for that much needed peace of mind.
Seb is a new friend whom I first met in Novenber 2006 near Box Hill. He is heavily involved in charity work for Africa, an enthusiastic tourer and off-road motorcyclist. Click on the link to his blog to find out more.
