This trip took place in May 2002, where we stayed in a village called Lazi, and explored the surrounding countryside, even riding down to Rijeka, Krk and the coast. My friends had 400cc enduro bikes, while I was on the Dominator 500, which we loaded up into a big transporter van, and drove down from Salzburg through Slovenia into Croatia.
The off-road terrain we rode on was mainly of the gravel and rock nature, which was difficult for me to ride on as I had just started to learn to ride off-road, with the front wheel hitting against huge stones and rocks, causing me to nearly fall a couple of times.
We were also vey lucky with the weather, as just prior to our arrival and just after our last day the area was hit by heavy rainfall. We also swopped bikes for half a day, and I got my first impressions of riding a KTM.
