The city of Salzburg is famous for being Mozarts birth place, it's classical music scene, museums and the opera performances of the Summer Festival. The scenic countryside provides many great touring possibilites, with mountains for those spectacular views, and lakes for a swim to cool down in the hot summers, which can reach temperature levels well above 35 degrees. Precipitation is high though, mainly due to the clouds being trapped by the mountains, but results in a landscape filled with lush forests and amazing greenery. Off-roading is mainly by consent of the landowner, or restricted to off-road facilities.
