Hello and welcome to my personal website, www.enduroalexis.com

There are many different kind of activities one can embark on with motorcycles, and my preference lies with those of a touring and off-road orientated kind. Just riding from a to b or nowhere is not enough for me, so I like to combine our passion with some of my other interests and hobbies, such as photography, computers and film-making, the combination of all these having resulted in the creation of this website, to share with you my experiences, as I have enjoyed reading other riders websites too, being especially thankfull for touring tips and bike reports written by the actual owners of various models, giving an insight into how their motorcycles coped with real world situations and everyday use over a longer period of time. Although some faults may have occurred due to the riders error, it is still neccessary to write about them, as one can prevent others from doing the same mistakes. While choice of bike will always be down to one's own preference, requirements and finances, advice from actual owners is extremely valuable, provided they are honest about their part in the bikes use and service history.

I will introduce you to the bikes I have had over the years, the trips I have done on them and some information on my personal experiences with various models. Most pages are motorcycle related, while some are purely for the sake of sharing photographs of interesting landscapes and cities with you, as I also have a passion for photography and film. I have deliberately avoided writing a lot about specifications and performance of certain models, and going too much into technical details, as this website is more about living with them and what to with them.

I have also tried as much as possible to tell of my experiences, rather than telling you what to do, as I know from my own experience that too many and often contradictory instructions from different people can lead to confusion and dissillusionment, and had nearly made me give up motorcycling.

Sit back and enjoy, and I encourage you to also one day share stories of your adventures, however big or small, with us on the world wide web, as we can inspire one another to become true motorcycling achievers, rather than just lost, bored and lonely bike owners!

See you on the road, or off-road, some day,

Alexis.
